About Our

Founder

 

Our team is led by Rochelle R. Peterson-Ansari, International Expert, Master trainer, Coach & Speaker.

Rochelle is well known for expertise in transformative, high impact learning solutions,anti-racist and culturally competent instruction, teacher effectiveness, pioneering programs and curriculum, and mobilizing individuals and teams to meet diversity, equity and inclusion goals. Since 1988, Rochelle has led teams in higher education across Student Affairs, Academic Affairs & Enrollment Management. Uniquely positioned early in her career to work with organizations to align their policies, procedures, and practices with their core values, she brings uncommon depth of  expertise to diversity training,coaching and consultation.

Since she began her career at age 20, Rochelle’s work has focused on working with and on behalf of underrepresented and marginalized groups in higher education. Roles ranged from  recruiter, mentor, program development specialist, retention specialist, administrator and adjunct professor.

In university roles and as a consultant, she has 10+ years experience in youth development and 16 years as a justice-centered teacher educator. While developing  Perceptions Unlimited offerings, Rochelle honed training expertise and instructional design over 10+ years as a senior trainer for an international human rights organization and 6+ years as a core trainer for United Way of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey. She designed and implemented her first training and train-the- trainer as a graduate student in 1992. Since then, she has designed and facilitated equity and inclusion learning solutions for educators and students in colleges & universities, medical schools, pk-12 schools, and for professionals in nonprofits, private companies & grant-making organizations. She has published in Love Letters To My Girls: 100 Black Women Speak to the hearts of Black women and girls and in peer reviewed scholarly journals Educational Foundations, Voices for Educational Equity, and Pennsylvania Teacher Educator (in press). She recently co authored the PEDC Culturally Relevant- Sustaining Educator Competencies adopted by the state department of Education, and continues to work on related thought leadership.

Rochelle is a proud alumna of Bucknell University (Sociology, B.A.) and University of Vermont (Educational Studies, M.Ed.). She continues to serve as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Black Women’s Educator Alliance, West Oak Lane Charter School Executive Leadership Advisory team (Chair), Critical Race Studies in Education Association, L&D Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Educator Diversity Consortium, Queens United to Empower and Elevate the Next Sister (Q.U.E.E.N.S.) and a number of professional associations.
