CHANGED MINDS CHANGE DIRECTION
PROFESSOR P SPEAKS
Black, Bold, and Breaking Barriers
Professor P’s Movement for Educational Justice and Cultural Community Wealth
Remember Gettysburg? In 1987, a 19-year-old Rochelle Peterson-Ansari (a.k.a. Professor P) took the stage, not with a battle cry, but with a torch – a torch illuminating the struggles and triumphs of Black students at predominantly white institutions. That torch hasn’t dimmed in over 30 years. It’s roared into a blazing movement for justice, equity, and inclusion in education, and across every societal landscape.
Professor P isn’t a lecturer, she’s a changemaker.
For the vulnerable, the marginalized, the unheard:
-
Black, Latinx, poor/working class voices echo through her words
-
Women, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities find powerful allies and co-conspirators
-
First-generation students see their reflections in her journey.
Her advocacy isn’t born of anger, but of audacious hope. She carries the scars of injustice, but her spirit shines with the unshakeable belief that a better world is possible.
Her keynotes and presentations are gathering places:
-
For Black, BIPOC, and Women’s affinity groups seeking a beacon of empowerment.
-
For educators yearning to build equitable and inclusive classrooms and campuses.
-
For anyone hungry for solutions, not platitudes.
Professor P isn’t here to offer theories, she’s here to ignite action.
Join her and find your place in this revolution. Together, we can rewrite the narrative, not only for the next generation, but for ourselves.
